Do not arrive at our flying site uninvited.

 

Joining the Club

If you are interested in joining our Club then please download a copy of the Application Form from this website, complete it and forward it to our Club Chairman by email or post.

  • In order to process your application we will require :

    • Your full name and address.
    • Your contact details including email address if you have one.
    • Your BMFA membership number if you have one.
    • Details of current and previous club membership(s)
    • A brief summary of your modeling experience if any, and current standard.
    • Details of any flying certificates.


If you are already a member of the BMFA you will need to provide proof of your current BMFA membership and evidence of any BMFA certification (A/B certificates etc.). If you are not currently a BMFA member, we can give you guidance on how to join.

Once we have received your application form we will arrange for you to have a meeting with the committee to assess your application.

The first 6 months of membership are probationary, subject to you demonstrating compliance with the Club’s aims, constitution and rules, including safety rules.


Prospective New Members

As part of your application to join the Club you are required to have read the Club Constitution and Rules, Flying Site Rules and the rules in the BMFA Handbook.

The Club's rules apply to ALL members, without exception, and are there for reasons of Safety. It is a condition of membership that members adhere to the Club's rules and the rules in the BMFA Handbook.
